Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Unit Information:
Beds: 4 EP Labs (M/T/TH/F), 3 EP labs (W).
Minimum Years of Experience required: at least 2 years of EP Lab experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
EP Cases: Adults only. Electrophysiology Studies (EPS), Catheter Ablations (PFA, Radiofrequency Ablations, and Cryoablations), and Concomitant Watchmen Atrial Fibrillation
Implantable Devices: Device and Laser Lead Extractions, Cryoablations, Cardioversions, and Loop Implants. Pacemaker implantation, defibrillator implantation, biventricular device implantations (BIV-Pacemakers and BIV-Defibrillators), leadless devices (Micra and Aveir Devices)
Required License, National Certification, Certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, etc.):
RN: BLS, ACLS
EP Tech: BLS, ACLS; ARRT-R or equivalent OR RCIS is required, RCES (preferred)
Manager will accept RN in place of EP Tech as long as they are proficient with scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring cases. Will need
Skills required:
RN: Charting in EPIC, Pre/Post Documentation, EP Lab experience, Management of pressors and conscious sedation
EP Tech: EP/structural scrub experience required; Prefer experience monitoring cases
Support within the Department:
Traffic flow coordinator (runs add on scheduling and staffing)
Charge nurses
VAD Team
RT for emergencies
ECMO Team
Code Team

EMR: EPIC
Hemodynamic: Cardio Lab
IV Pumps: Alaris
Med Dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Philips
PACS: Philips
X-ray equipment: Philips, Client, Siems
Manifolds, long sheaths, exchange wires
Floating: If yes, where?: None
Orientation (facility and unit):
1 week before on self-sufficient functioning.
2 days Departmental onboarding.
Ace modules.
EPIC test and modules.
Scheduling:
Weekend Call Rotation: potential variation, discussed during interview
Holiday Expectations: Travelers will do at least one holiday in a contract if applicable
RTO: Manager Approval
Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
