Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) on the Medical Surgical Unit plays a critical role in coordinating patient care and providing specialized nursing services. Responsible for supervising LPNs and support nursing staff, this position requires a compassionate and skilled individual who can work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and address patient needs, providing compassionate and comprehensive care.
- Work collaboratively with nursing personnel, providing supervision and guidance as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized records, preparing reports in a timely manner.
- Ensure a clean and healthy environment for staff and patients, adhering to quality standards.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Exhibit outstanding customer service attitude in all patient and family interactions.
- Utilize superb organizational skills in managing supplies and equipment efficiently.
- Remain calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations, providing appropriate support and assistance.
- Proficiently manage electronic records management systems, demonstrating strong computer skills.
Education:
- Associate of Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor's of Nursing (Preferred)
- New York RN (Required)
- BLS (Preferred)
- Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
