Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) on the Medical Surgical Unit plays a critical role in coordinating patient care and providing specialized nursing services. Responsible for supervising LPNs and support nursing staff, this position requires a compassionate and skilled individual who can work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and address patient needs, providing compassionate and comprehensive care.
• Work collaboratively with nursing personnel, providing supervision and guidance as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized records, preparing reports in a timely manner.
• Ensure a clean and healthy environment for staff and patients, adhering to quality standards.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Exhibit outstanding customer service attitude in all patient and family interactions.
• Utilize superb organizational skills in managing supplies and equipment efficiently.
• Remain calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations, providing appropriate support and assistance.
• Proficiently manage electronic records management systems, demonstrating strong computer skills.

Qualifications:
Education:

• Associate of Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor's of Nursing (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications:

• New York RN (Required)
• BLS (Preferred)

Experience:

• Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
