Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Assignment Details
- Location: 1000 Johnson Ferry Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30342
- Unit: 736A – Respiratory Care/Diagnostic Services
- Shift: Days 7a-730p F/S/S
- Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Candidate Requirement: No local candidates within 50 miles
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience within the specialty
- AHA BLS certification (Required)
- ACLS certification (Required)
- PALS certification (Required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification through NBRC (Required)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and airway clearance techniques.
- Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators and other respiratory care equipment.
- Perform patient assessments, arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling, pulse oximetry, and pulmonary function testing as needed.
- Respond to medical emergencies, including rapid response and code blue situations, providing advanced airway management and resuscitation support.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans.
