• 36-bed Neuro Med-Surg Unit
• Standard Med-Surg equipment

Staffing

Day Shift

• 1 Charge RN
• 6 RNs
• 3 CNAs
• 1 HUC

Night Shift

• 1 Charge RN
• 6 RNs
• 2 CNAs
• 1 HUC

Patient Ratios

• Typical: 5:1
• High Census:
  • Days: Up to 6:1
  • Nights: Up to 7:1

Qualifications

Required

• Active RN License
• ACLS Certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIH)

Preferred

• Neuro/Neuroscience experience

Skills

• Neurological patient care
• IV insertion
• Foley catheter insertion
• General Medical-Surgical nursing
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills

Floating

• Floating may be required to other Medical-Surgical units within the facility based on patient care needs.

Schedule

• Every other weekend required

Dress Code

• Navy Blue Scrubs
