General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):

• Number of Beds -18
• Number of Staff – 3-5
• Type of staff:
  • Day Shift – 2 RNs on Day shift and 2-3 RNs on Mid shift
  • Night Shift – 2 RNs on Night shift
  • Mid Shift- somedays throughout the week
• Patient Ratios – varies depending upon acuity, usually 4:1
• Type of equipment – LifePak, Lucus, Philips, Client
• EMR -Meditech

Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

• Minimum 1-year current acute care ED RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC & ENPC

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

• Experience working in a large hospital setting
• Prior Meditech experience

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

• IV, EKG, foleys and splints,
• Wound infiltration, wound care, med administration and assessments

Freestanding ED converted to Hospital based ED. Increased resources such as respiratory therapy, house supervisor, staff on med/surg/icu floors, full lab with lab staff, and radiology (CT, MRI, Echo, xray, US, all on site)
