Shift Time: Start Time: 07:00 PM End Time: 07:00 AM
Shift Type: Night Shift
General Information
Unit Specifics:
· Number of Beds: 6
· Patient Ratios: Varies on Acuity. Adult only
· Unit staffing description: Charge Nurse, RN's, Nurse Externs, Paramedics.
· Type of equipment: Alaris Iv Pumps, Hill-Rom beds and call light system, Client Cardiac monitoring equipment
· Documentation system: Meditech
· Scheduling requirements: 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week scheduling period
· On Call Requirements: N/A
· Floating policy: Float to like units. ICU/PCU/CCU. Agency staff first to float when needed.
· Patient Experience requirements: Uphold our mission and values. Treat every patient as their own. Courtesy and Respect is a top priority. Must adhere to Bedside Shift report requirements.
Hospital Specifics-
· Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIH, ABLS preferred (not required)
· Level 1 Trauma Facility
· Trauma, Stroke, and Cardiac Verified Facility
Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set:
ICU OR PCU background.
Preferred Burn Experience if possible.
NIH Certified
Hemodynamic Monitoring
Hemodynamic drip titration proficient
Must have: Experience with ICU/PCU level of care. Burn experience preferred. Must be BLS, ALC, and TNCC certified. Cardiac rhythm proficient.
Advanced skills needed: NIH.ABLS certification preferred. Hemodynamic trained.
Procedures performed on unit: Debridement, dressing changes, Line insertion, Chest tube insertions and maintenance. Post-op procedural care.
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC,NIH, ABLS preferred but not required
Dress Code: (Required uniform)
· Navy blue Scrub top. Navy blue or black scrub pants.
· Scrub Jacket
· No T-shirts, hoodies, or sweatshirts allowed.
Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please attach unit specific policies and guidelines.
· Mixed acuity level department
· ICU/PCU/TELE/M/S level of patient.
· Patients stay in unit from admit to DC regardless of level of care
·

· Strong multidisciplinary model consisting of burn surgeon, Nurse Practitioner, Intensivist, rehab, dietary, pharmacist, and case management etc.
· Dedicated Burn Surgeon and APP
· Teamwork oriented unit
· Large Experience level of core staff with a family like atmosphere
· Travel Nurse Friendly
· Dedicated Unit based Paramedics
· Use of Imobile Phones for communication with Providers and staff
· Critical Care Intensivists 24/7
· AirStrip for Cardiac Rhythms
· Discharge Lounge
