Minimum Years of Experience required: 18 months of Med/Tele RN exp

Will you accept a first-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

Med/Tele Surgical: ESRD, CHF, Pneumonia, Sickle Cell Crisis, Diabetes/DKA, Wounds, Acute/Chronic Renal Failure, etc.

Patient Ratios:

RN: Days: 1:5; Nights: 1:6 (critical surge 1:7-8)
CNA: Days 1:12; Nights 1:12

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
CNA: BLS

Skills required:

RN: Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), general medical/surgical skillset – care of patients with tubes/drains, IV start skills, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, etc.
CNA: acute care MedSurg experience; experience with lift equipment - Hoyer

Support within the Department:

CNA (Ratios – 1:12) – patient care (ADLs/Vitals/Nutrition) and mobility
Receptionist/HUC, 24/7 – able to validate EKGs
Charge nurse
Phlebotomy, 24/7
IV/VAT Team, 24/7
Pharmacist dedicated to unit
Case Manager x 2 per unit
MedSurg Clinical Nurse Specialist
RT 24/7 – will perform Nebulizer treatments
Nurse Educator
Hospitalist, 24/7
Telemetry monitoring/tech: Yes

Technology/Equipment:

EMR: EPIC
IV Pump: Alaris
Med dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Phillips
Rover Communication
Hoyer lift

Floating:

Within region and scope of practice
Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable
Region 2 - Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, Central Division (CMC Main CMC Mercy Levine Children s Hospital)
If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
