General Information

Unt Specifics:

· Number of Beds : 39

· Patient Ratios : 1:4

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : one unit secretary and 2-3 techs on the floor

· Type of equipment : Crash Carts, Level One, Alaris Pumps, Dash bedside cardiac monitors

· Documentation system: MediTech

· Scheduling requirements: 4wk schedule posts 2wks prior to start date, preferred three 12hr shifts/wk

· Floating policy: ER hold unit while at capacity, rare during summer months

· Patient Experience requirements: 30-1hr patient rounding and bedside shift report

Hospital Specifics-

· Certifications: ACLS,BLS,PALS

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set: Multi-task and through-put focused, team work

Must have : 2 years ER experience

Advanced skills needed: Assist in intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures.

Procedures performed on unit: Chest tubes, Moderate sedation, LP, laceration repair, blood products

Certifications Required: ACLS,BLS,PALS

Dress Code : (Required uniform)

· Black Scrubs
