Pharmacy Technician – Infusion Pharmacy

Location: 3400 Civic Center Blvd, 1st Floor, West Pavilion, Philadelphia, PA 19104
Department: Infusion Pharmacy
Schedule: 8-hour and 12-hour shifts
Pharmacy Hours: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Certification: CPHT Required

Position Overview

We are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) to join the Infusion Pharmacy team in Philadelphia, PA.

The pharmacy provides services to the Perlman Center for Advanced Medicine, supporting the preparation and delivery of IV admixtures for patients receiving cancer treatments, as well as patients receiving infusions for conditions including multiple sclerosis, dermatology, infectious diseases, and other disease states.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and dispensing of medications for infusion therapy.
Support the preparation and handling of IV admixtures under pharmacist supervision.
Accurately measure, prepare, label, and package medications.
Follow established procedures for medication preparation, storage, and handling.
Maintain accurate medication and inventory records.
Assist pharmacists with daily infusion pharmacy operations.
Follow all pharmacy safety, quality, and infection-control procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy work area.
Perform other pharmacy technician duties as assigned.

Schedule

Pharmacy operating hours: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Shifts may be 8 hours or 12 hours, depending on operational needs.
Flexibility with scheduling is required.

Required Qualifications

CPHT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification required.
Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
Infusion or IV admixture experience is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical pharmacy environment.
Ability to follow medication safety and quality standards.
