Job Summary

Penn Primary Care Plumsteadville is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support daily clinical operations, patient care, and administrative responsibilities. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity, and candidates must be interested in transitioning to a full-time staff position with Penn Medicine.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday

• One late shift per week: 11:45 AM – 8:15 PM

• Other shifts: 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM

• Work schedules are available two weeks in advance.

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for clinical visits.

• Assist with patient intake and routine clinical workflows.

• Handle patient phone calls and respond to inquiries.

• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient visits.

• Maintain accurate patient information and documentation.

• Support providers and clinical staff with daily office operations.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of CMA experience.

• Certification from a Penn Medicine-recognized program.

• Must be interested in converting to a full-time Penn Medicine employee.

• Strong communication, organizational, and patient service skills.

• Ability to work the required Monday–Friday schedule, including one late shift per week.

Preferred Qualification:

• Previous experience with EPIC EMR is a plus.

Interview Process

• Microsoft Teams interview.

Training

• EPIC training: Friday, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, including a break.

• Additional 15-minute HIPAA training module.
