Description

Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Lander, Wyoming
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Provide critical care to patients with severe medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress.
  • Assess patient conditions and develop/implement care plans.
  • Treat wounds and provide advanced life support.
  • Assist physicians with procedures.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs.
  • Manage and adjust ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and other medical equipment.
  • Administer intravenous fluids and medications.
  • Perform suctioning as needed.
  • Collaborate with the critical care team.
  • Respond to life-saving situations using established nursing protocols.
  • Act as a patient advocate and provide education/support to patient families.
  • Care for pre- and post-operative patients.
  • Occasionally care for pediatric/adolescent patients (no dedicated pediatric unit).
  • May float between two campuses depending on census.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Wyoming
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association or ENPC certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • TNCC certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
