Travel RN Opportunity – Med/Surg Nurse

Location: Lander, Wyoming

Job Description

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care based on scientific nursing principles.
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepare, administer (orally, subcutaneously, IV), and document prescribed medications.
• Monitor and report adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs accurately and timely.
• Monitor and adjust specialized patient equipment; interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective actions for adverse patient symptoms.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Respond to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocols.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Utilize effective time management skills.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have current Wyoming RN license.
• Must have ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Candidate must be available to start by 12/29 or sooner.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

• Position is travel assignment.
• Facility may require floating to other units (confirmation needed).
• Work schedule, number of beds, EMR system, dress code, and other operational details to be confirmed during interview process.
