Job Description

The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing patient care using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, leadership, and the ability to plan and deliver safe care. The nurse will delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience and supervise assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Qualifications

• License: Tennessee RN license or multi-state compact RN license (must be current and attached to resume)
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association (must be current and attached)
• Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years of specialty experience required (defaulting to the higher value: 5 years)
  • Vent/trach experience required
  • Knowledge of central lines required
  • Preferred wound care experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

• Facility is an LTAC/Telemetry setting
• Shift accountability and leadership responsibilities expected
• Must maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Ability to float to other units may be required (to be confirmed)
