Travel RN - ICU

Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel

Job Description

Critical Care Registered Nurses provide care for patients with severe medical issues such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress. Responsibilities include:

Assessing patient conditions and implementing care plans
Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
Assisting physicians with procedures
Monitoring and recording vital signs
Managing ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment (including adjusting ventilator/IABP)
Administering IV fluids and medications
Suctioning
Collaborating with the critical care team
Responding to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols
Acting as patient advocate
Educating and supporting patient families
Occasionally caring for pediatric/adolescent patients (no dedicated pediatric unit)
Possible floating between Lander and Riverton campuses depending on census

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wyoming
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Contract Length

13 weeks

Additional Notes

Candidates may occasionally care for pediatric/adolescent patients
Floating between campuses may be required based on facility census
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this role
