RN Charge/Supervisor - Nursing Administration (Travel Assignment)

Job Description

• Manage day-to-day operations and long-term planning of patient care areas.
• Direct and develop nursing staff, including selection, orientation, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and discipline.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide physical, psychological, and emotional support to patients and families.
• Oversee nursing care for 3 medical/surgical/telemetry units and 1 ICU unit.
• Organize bed flow and ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain nursing guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with state board of nursing and nurse practice act requirements.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, and staffing productivity.
• Maintain safe, clean, and compliant working environment.
• Manage nursing supplies and equipment inventory.
• Participate in professional development and maintain technical knowledge.
• Foster cooperative relationships among healthcare teams.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of House Supervisor experience, including experience within the last year.
• ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience.
• Experience with ventilator and tracheostomy care.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Experience in supervisory roles.

Shift Details

• Night shift: 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
• Work every other weekend.
• Days off will vary.

Experience Requirements

• Specialty experience: Minimum 2 years as RN Charge/Supervisor.
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required.

Certifications Required

• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• BLS (American Heart Association)

This role is suited for experienced RN Charge Nurses or Supervisors with ICU and ventilator/trach experience, comfortable managing multiple units and leading nursing teams in a hospital setting.
