RN Charge/Supervisor - Nursing Administration (Travel)

Location: Lima, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 11 weeks

Job Description

Manage day-to-day operations and long-term planning of the patient care area.
Direct, develop, and evaluate nursing staff including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and disciplining.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care.
Provide physical, psychological, and emotional support to patients and their families.
Ensure compliance with nursing operational, financial, and quality standards.
Develop and update nursing policies and procedures.
Enforce adherence to state board of nursing regulations and nurse practice acts.
Monitor patient care documentation and audit department records.
Maintain safe, clean, and compliant work environment including infection control and medication administration protocols.
Manage nursing supplies and equipment inventory.
Participate in professional development and maintain current nursing knowledge.
Foster cooperative relationships within healthcare teams and contribute to organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
Minimum 5 years of House Supervisor experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Experience in supervisory roles within nursing administration

Additional Notes

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
Must be able to provide documentation of required licenses and certifications.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is expected but not specified.
