Description
IMPORTANT – TRAVEL ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel stipend and travel-related benefits.
Float Registered Nurse – School Health
Meda Health is seeking Registered Nurses to provide care across multiple school locations and support students with one-on-one nursing needs.
Position Details
- Float between school locations based on daily needs
- Support school nurse clinics and one-on-one student assignments
- Work 7.5 to 8.5 hours per day
- Work on student attendance and professional learning days
- Complete setting-specific training before working independently
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and manage chronic health conditions
- Assess illnesses and provide urgent first aid
- Follow individualized student care plans
- Conduct student health screenings
- Document all care in the student information system
- Provide specialized care, including:
- G-tube care
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning
- Oral suctioning
- Ventilator management
- Ostomy care
- Straight catheterization
- Seizure management
Requirements
- Current Kansas RN license
- Current BLS certification
- At least one year of acute care or comparable experience
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required
- Ability to travel between assigned school locations
