Description

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week
Hours per Week: 36


Job Summary

Provide nursing care to Emergency Room patients following the Nursing Process, state Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies. Utilize critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe patient care delivery. Delegate and supervise patient care priorities based on staff education and experience. Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.

  • 38-bed facility
  • Trauma Level III Certified
  • Stroke Receiving Center
  • STEMI Receiving Center
  • Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner (experience required)
  • Dress code: Black scrubs

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record system
  • Willingness and ability to float to other units as needed

Additional Information

  • NIH Stroke Scale certification is recommended but not required
  • Start date requested within 2 weeks of offer acceptance
