Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Schedule

• Day shift (approximately 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM) with on-call duties
• Exact shift times and days may vary based on patient volume
• Approximately 36 hours per week

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Operating Room (OR) as part of the surgical team
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other staff
• Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring availability of supplies
  • Managing case timeliness
  • Communicating with patient families
  • Updating physician preference cards
  • Scrubbing and assisting during surgical procedures
  • Supervising personnel delivering patient care
• Expected to float between campuses as needed
• Must demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care
• Work performed in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, physician orders, and hospital policies

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, and ENT Surgery
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records system
