Description

Registered Nurse (NICU) - Travel Assignment

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 7 PM – 7 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Beds: 40
Patient Ratio: 1:1 to 1:3
Block Scheduling: Yes
Floating: Required (may float to help in other areas but does not take assignments in other units)
Call Requirements: None
Scrub Color: Navy blue
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner


Job Description

Provide nursing care in a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for a range of patients from stable feeder growers to critically ill neonates.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Indiana
  • Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, with experience within the last year
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Driver's License
  • Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
  • Required to submit all licenses and certifications with application (including driver’s license and permanent home address matching ID)

Orientation

  • 2 shifts of 12 hours each

Additional Information

  • Maximum allowed time off during assignment: 1 week
  • No prior travel experience explicitly required
  • Must be willing to float within the facility as needed (excluding other unit assignments)
