Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
Experience: Minimum 2+ years with strengths in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Robotics
CNOR certification preferred
Ability to float between campuses as needed

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse plays a critical role in patient care during surgical procedures. Responsibilities include:

Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other staff
Ensuring availability of supplies and timeliness of cases
Communicating with patient families
Updating physician preference cards
Scrubbing and assisting physicians during surgeries
Supervising personnel delivering patient care

The role requires strong critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills, adhering to state nurse practice acts, AORN guidelines, and hospital policies.
