Job Opportunity: RN - Emergency Department

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel Contract


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe patient care delivery in the Emergency Department.
  • Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
  • Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
  • Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
  • Must be willing to float between units as needed.
  • Preferred: Charge Nurse experience.

  • 38-bed facility
  • Trauma Level III Certified
  • Stroke Receiving Center
  • STEMI Receiving Center
  • EMR System: Cerner (experience required)
  • Dress Code: Black scrub colors
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification is recommended but not required

Requirements

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Emergency Department
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
  • Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Shift Details

  • 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
  • Requested start: within 2 weeks of offer acceptance
