Travel RN - NeuroSpine Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 7 AM - 7 PM
• Schedule: Holidays and every other weekend required, block scheduling approved
• Call Requirements: Voluntary
• Unit Beds: 24
• Patient Ratio: 1:5 or 1:6
• Floating: Required (may float to other units)
• EMR System: Cerner
• Department Scrub Color: Navy

Scope of Role

• Care for higher acuity Med-Surg patients with diagnoses including:

  • Stroke
  • Seizures
  • Post-op Neuro/spinal surgeries
  • Level 2 trauma patients
  • Level 1 trauma post-ICU care
  • DKA, renal failure
  • General post-op care

Required Qualifications

• License: Registered Nurse (RN) license for Indiana
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Neuro assessments and critical care
• Skills:

  • Expertise in neuro assessments
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Drain management and post-surgical care
  • Chest tube and groin site management post-interventional radiology

• Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
• Must attach required license and certifications to be considered
