Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Job Description
- Provide care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe patient care delivery in the Emergency Department.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
- Must be willing to float to other units as needed.
Shift Details
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3 shifts of 12 hours each)
Facility Information
- 38 beds
- Trauma Level III Certified
- Stroke Receiving Center
- STEMI Receiving Center
- EMR System: Cerner (experience required)
- Dress Code: Black scrub colors
- NIH Stroke Scale certification is recommended but not required
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) RN experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working in a Trauma Level III facility
- Experience with Cerner EMR system
