Description

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel

Job Description

Provide care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe patient care delivery in the Emergency Department.
Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Must be willing to float to other units as needed.

Shift Details

Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3 shifts of 12 hours each)

Trauma Level III Certified
Stroke Receiving Center
STEMI Receiving Center
EMR System: Cerner (experience required)
Dress Code: Black scrub colors
NIH Stroke Scale certification is recommended but not required

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) RN experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working in a Trauma Level III facility
Experience with Cerner EMR system

Start date requested within 2 weeks of offer acceptance
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
