Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel

Job Description

• Provide nursing care to Emergency Room patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe patient care delivery in the Emergency Department.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
• Must be willing to float to other units as needed.
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3 shifts of 12 hours each per week).
• Facility size: 38 beds.
• Trauma Level III Certified facility.
• Stroke Receiving and STEMI Receiving center.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification is recommended but not required.
• Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner (experience required).
• Dress code: Black scrub colors.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience working in a Trauma Level III facility.
• Proficient with Cerner Electronic Medical Record system.

Additional Notes

• Start date requested within 2 weeks of offer acceptance.
• 48-hour shift guarantee may be considered.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
