Epic charting
This position is for a Registered Nurse working 12-hour night shifts in a cardiac catheterization laboratory at a Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital. The RN will provide specialized care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures including coronary interventions, structural heart procedures, and peripheral vascular treatments. The cath lab environment includes multiple procedure rooms including cardiac catheterization labs and hybrid operating rooms used for complex cardiovascular and vascular cases. The nurse will care for patients with conditions such as coronary artery disease, STEMI, cardiogenic shock, complex chronic total occlusions, valvular disease, and peripheral vascular disease. The role requires advanced clinical judgment and the ability to support high-acuity procedures in a fast-paced procedural environment. Radius Rule: Travelers must live at least 100 miles away from the facility to be eligible for this assignment. Requirements: Candidates must hold an active Registered Nurse license through the South Dakota Board of Nursing and maintain current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications. A minimum of two years of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory environment is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong experience in coronary procedures, structural heart interventions, complex PCI cases, and peripheral vascular procedures. Proficiency with critical patient assessment, vasoactive medication administration, sedation management, and sterile procedural techniques is essential. Experience working with advanced cardiovascular devices such as intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella devices, rotational atherectomy systems, and thrombectomy systems is required. EPIC electronic medical record experience is mandatory, and familiarity with EPIC Cupid is preferred.
