Join Cross Country Education as a Special Education Teacher in Surprise, AZ, where you’ll provide individualized support, collaborate with school teams, and help students thrive throughout the school year.
Position Overview
Provide specialized instruction, accommodations, and curriculum modifications to students with disabilities in alignment with IEP goals, services, and individual learning needs.
Collaborate with general education teachers, families, administrators, related service providers, and support staff to promote inclusive instruction and student success.
Support students in either an Elementary Resource or a Middle School structured, self-contained (STC-2) classroom, using evidence-based instructional strategies, visual supports, and appropriate curriculum resources.
Monitor student progress, maintain IEP-related documentation and data, and implement individualized accommodations, modifications, and behavior supports.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
Valid Arizona Special Education Certification (ADE); alternative teaching certifications are not accepted
Active Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Ability to obtain and maintain Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) certification
Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs through IEP implementation, differentiated instruction, and collaborative service delivery
