Description:Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. Prepares equipment and supplies. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.Facility Requirements:
Must have BLS certification, these must be attached to the submission (Must be through the American Heart Association)Must have ARRT certification in RD & CT, this must be attached to the submissionEducation associate degree in radiologic technology; additional completion of CT technology certificate program preferred.Must have 2 years recent experience in Radiology & CTWill be required to float between X-ray & CT departmentShifts will be (4) 10's plus 50% on call with every other weekendMUST USE TEMPLATE BELOW TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE.Any submittals without will be rejected!
