Description
Position Summary
Responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed in all areas of Laboratory Services.
- Ensures laboratory practices focus on and guarantee patient safety.
- Responsible for specimen collection and laboratory testing performed on all patients from neonates to geriatric patients. Responsible for Tenet Healthcare Laboratory technical development, implementation and integration within areas of technical expertise, to include instrument acquisition, logistic support and laboratory information systems integration.
- Develops and manages the annual department operating and capital budgets
- Directs daily operations of department
- Has ability to hire, fire and discipline
