Travel Respiratory Therapist RRT jobs in Norfolk, VA let you work in a thriving coastal city at a facility with high-acuity, specialized units and Level 1 trauma designation. You will provide advanced respiratory care to adults and geriatric patients in critical care settings, including ICU, ED, trauma, cardiac, cardiac surgical, and intermediate care floors. Your responsibilities include managing ventilators, administering protocol-driven therapies, responding to trauma, and supporting post-operative recovery. To qualify, you must have a Virginia respiratory therapist license in hand, be a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and have at least three years of experience, including two years in critical care. Experience with Hamilton ventilators, high-flow oxygen systems, non-invasive devices, and bronchial hygiene equipment is required. The expected patient load is 8 to 15 per shift. The schedule is 12-hour night, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., with rotating weekends, on-call duties, and holiday rotation. Ceil blue or black scrubs are required, but all black is not permitted. • Top 10 Procedures: RT Driven Protocol vent management, veletri/epoprostenol, trauma response, bronchial hygiene protocol driven therapy, non-invasive, high flow oxygen, CABG post-op recovery, Spinal Cord Injury and Chest Trauma
