Aurora offers a balanced lifestyle with easy access to urban amenities and outdoor adventure. Residents enjoy a diverse restaurant scene, cultural events, local breweries, and plentiful shopping, along with over a hundred parks, expansive open spaces, and miles of trails ideal for walking, running, and cycling. The city’s proximity to world-class skiing, snowboarding, and hiking makes it especially attractive for clinicians who love the outdoors, while Denver International Airport provides convenient travel options in and out of the region. The facility is a modern, patient-centered healthcare environment designed to support both high-quality care and clinician well-being. Physical therapists work with advanced equipment and updated treatment spaces that promote efficient, evidence-based practice. You will be part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team that may include physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, case managers, and other allied health professionals. The culture emphasizes professional respect, open communication, and shared commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes. Depending on the specific department, responsibilities may include comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with orthopedic, neurological, post-surgical, and chronic conditions. You will perform detailed assessments, develop individualized plans of care, provide therapeutic exercise and manual therapy, educate patients and families, and coordinate with other team members to ensure a safe, effective continuum of care. A typical day often includes a mix of new evaluations and follow-up visits, with scheduling designed to allow time for documentation and patient education. Patient caseloads and ratios are structured to balance productivity with quality of care. In outpatient settings, therapists generally see a steady flow of scheduled patients throughout the day with reasonable visit lengths that support thorough assessments and interventions. In inpatient or acute care settings, patient assignments are coordinated with nursing and other disciplines to ensure appropriate workloads and timely coverage across units such as medical-surgical, post-operative, and specialty floors. Therapists are encouraged to use outcome measures and evidence-based protocols to track progress and guide treatment decisions. Shifts are typically daytime hours on weekdays, with the possibility of occasional weekend or holiday rotations depending on the department’s needs. Full-time schedules often provide consistent start and end times, supporting work-life balance and allowing clinicians to enjoy Aurora’s many recreational and cultural offerings. Opportunities for professional development, including in-service education, specialty training, and potential leadership pathways, support long-term career growth. This position is well-suited for physical therapists who value practicing in a supportive, dynamic environment and who want to live in a community known for its sunshine, outdoor recreation, and accessible metropolitan lifestyle. Aurora’s combination of strong healthcare infrastructure, diverse population, and high quality of life makes it an appealing location to build or advance your physical therapy career.
