This outpatient Physical Therapist position is based in Erie, Pennsylvania, a vibrant lakeside community offering a unique blend of urban amenities and natural beauty. You will work alongside a collaborative team of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and support staff who are committed to teamwork, communication, and shared success. In this role, you will evaluate and treat a primarily orthopedic and musculoskeletal caseload, including patients with acute and chronic conditions, post-surgical needs, and sports-related injuries. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient evaluations, development and progression of individualized plans of care, delivery of manual therapy and therapeutic exercise programs, patient and family education, and coordination with referring providers. You will be expected to use outcome measures, follow evidence-based guidelines, and contribute to a positive, goal-driven therapy experience. A typical day includes a steady schedule of patient appointments with time designated for documentation, care coordination, and team communication. Patient volume and scheduling are designed to support both quality of care and productivity expectations. You may have the opportunity to participate in or help develop specialty programs aligned with your interests, such as sports rehabilitation, industrial rehabilitation, or balance and fall prevention initiatives. The environment encourages collaboration, mentorship, and participation in continuing education to support your growth as a clinician. Shifts are generally daytime, weekday hours, with occasional flexibility based on clinic needs and patient scheduling patterns.
