Registered Respiratory Therapist - (RRT)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2276.00 - $2345.00
This 13-week Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) contract offers the opportunity to practice in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) located in vibrant Atlanta, Georgia. As one of the Southeast’s most dynamic cities, Atlanta combines the energy of a major metropolitan area with the charm of tree-lined neighborhoods and abundant green spaces. You can explore world-class attractions such as the Georgia Aquarium, the Atlanta Botanical Garden, and nearby Stone Mountain Park, enjoy a thriving restaurant and arts scene, and take advantage of easy access to festivals, sports events, and cultural experiences throughout the year. Atlanta is a major healthcare hub, home to many respected hospitals, universities, and medical centers. Working here allows you to build your resume in a competitive market, expand your clinical exposure, and connect with a strong professional community in respiratory therapy and post-acute care. The city’s diverse population and broad healthcare network make this an excellent setting for growing your skills and exploring future career opportunities. In this role, you will provide respiratory care services to adult and geriatric patients in a SNF environment. Typical patients may include those recovering from acute hospitalizations, managing chronic respiratory conditions such as COPD, or requiring ongoing respiratory support as part of long-term or post-acute care. You will collaborate closely with nursing staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapists, and case managers to deliver safe, evidence-based care that supports each patient’s functional recovery and quality of life. A typical day may involve assessing patients’ respiratory status, administering aerosol and oxygen therapies, providing bronchial hygiene techniques, monitoring pulse oximetry and other respiratory parameters, and contributing to care plans. You may assist with tracheostomy care and other respiratory-related procedures appropriate to the SNF setting, while ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the facility’s electronic medical record system. You will also play a key role in patient and family education, helping them understand respiratory equipment and home care instructions as they prepare for eventual transitions from the facility. The position is structured as a full-time contract of 5 eight-hour day shifts per week, for a total of 40 hours, over 8 weeks. Patient ratios and caseloads are designed to allow you to provide thorough, attentive care while working as part of a supportive interdisciplinary team. The facility emphasizes collaboration, communication, and patient-centered care, offering an environment where your expertise as an RRT is valued and where you can contribute meaningfully to patient outcomes. This assignment is ideal for an experienced RRT who enjoys working with medically complex patients, values a team-focused culture, and is interested in experiencing life and work in a major Southern city. Atlanta’s combination of professional opportunities, cultural amenities, and accessible lifestyle makes it an appealing base for your next contract.
