Site Location Brown University Health Sleep Disorders Center, 70 Catamore Blvd, East Providence, Rhode Island, 02914 This Polysomnographic Technologist position is based in Providence, Rhode Island, in a dynamic academic health environment closely aligned with a nationally recognized university. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to a leading sleep medicine program within a tertiary care setting, where clinical excellence, education, and innovation are integral to daily practice. The sleep center is part of an advanced, academically oriented health system and is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. This accreditation underscores a commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care and ongoing quality improvement. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and monitoring technology to support a full range of adult and, where applicable, pediatric sleep studies. Patients benefit from a multidisciplinary approach that often involves collaboration with pulmonology, neurology, cardiology, behavioral health, and primary care. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will perform overnight polysomnographic studies, including diagnostic, split-night, and PAP titration procedures. Typical responsibilities include preparing the patient for the study, accurately placing electrodes and sensors, calibrating equipment, monitoring sleep and physiologic parameters throughout the night, and responding appropriately to events such as respiratory disturbances, arrhythmias, or limb movements. You will score and analyze sleep data according to AASM standards and assist in preparing comprehensive reports for interpreting sleep physicians.
