This outpatient physical therapy opportunity is based in North Brunswick, New Jersey, a vibrant community in central New Jersey that offers a great mix of suburban comfort and easy access to major destinations. The clinic itself is a large outpatient facility of approximately 5,000 square feet, designed to support high-quality orthopedic and sports physical therapy services. The space is equipped with all new, state-of-the-art equipment, allowing for comprehensive, progressive rehabilitation programs. The environment is well-suited to treat high-level athletes and heavy workers’ compensation patients in addition to a wide spectrum of general orthopedic clientele. Functional training capabilities include specialized equipment for pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and other work- and sport-specific activities, enabling you to deliver robust, goal-oriented therapy plans. This practice has been established in the community for about 40 years, which means you will be joining a team with deep roots, longstanding patient trust, and a strong reputation for quality care. As a Physical Therapist in this role, you will focus on outpatient orthopedics across a wide age range and clinical spectrum. Patients may present with injuries and conditions involving various body parts and joints, both nonsurgical and pre/post-surgical, including post-operative joint replacements, ligament repairs, tendon procedures, and other orthopedic interventions. Your typical day will include conducting thorough initial evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, progressing therapeutic exercise and manual therapy interventions, utilizing modalities and functional training, and educating patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention. The schedule is full-time, 40 hours per week, structured as five 8-hour shifts (5:8s). This is a fast-paced environment with expectations of scheduling 2–3 patients per hour and seeing an average of approximately 2.3 visits per hour, resulting in more than 16 patient visits per day. Your responsibilities will include efficient time management, accurate and timely EMR documentation, and coordination with support staff to ensure smooth clinic flow. There is no on-call requirement, and the assignment length is 13 weeks in a temp direct arrangement, making this an attractive role for clinicians seeking a focused, high-impact outpatient experience.
