This Nuclear Medicine Technologist opportunity is a 13-week temp direct assignment supporting a mobile diagnostic imaging service at a community medical center in Easton, Maryland. You will join a team that focuses on consistent, high-quality imaging delivery and reliable support for local physicians and patients. Easton offers the charm of a historic Eastern Shore town with tree-lined streets, art galleries, boutique shops, and an inviting downtown filled with locally owned restaurants and cafes. The community is known for its accessible coastal lifestyle, proximity to the Chesapeake Bay, and easy access to outdoor activities such as boating, fishing, biking, and exploring nearby small towns. Easton also features a vibrant arts and cultural scene, with year-round events, festivals, and live performances that make it a pleasant place to spend a contract assignment. The facility you will support is a community-based medical center that partners with a national mobile imaging provider to bring high-quality diagnostic services directly to patients. The mobile service is known for its OEM-certified equipment, high reliability, and standardized imaging protocols that help ensure excellent diagnostic outcomes. You will be working in an environment that emphasizes collaboration with hospital staff, efficient patient throughput, and consistent, professional service. In this role, you will: Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures according to ordered protocols and established standards Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately, following radiation safety and infection control guidelines Operate nuclear medicine cameras and associated equipment, ensuring proper positioning, image quality, and patient safety Confirm patient identity, review orders, obtain relevant history, and explain procedures to help patients feel comfortable and informed Document procedures, complete required records, and coordinate with the site’s clinical team and radiologists for timely interpretation Assist with quality control, equipment checks, and adherence to all regulatory and facility policies Typical schedule is 3 ten-hour day shifts per week, totaling approximately 30 hours, with no on-call expectations, allowing for predictable time off to explore the region. You will primarily focus on scheduled outpatient and inpatient nuclear medicine studies, with caseload determined by facility needs and mobile service schedules. Patient ratios and daily volume are designed to balance quality imaging with reasonable throughput, helping you maintain strong clinical standards without excessive overtime. The mobile imaging service you will join is designed to support hospitals, clinics, and health systems with flexible, high-quality diagnostic solutions, offering exposure to different care environments and an opportunity to further build your resume with advanced imaging experience.
