This outpatient physical therapist opportunity is based in Houston, Texas, one of the nation’s most vibrant and rapidly growing cities. Houston is known for its welcoming Southern hospitality, cultural diversity, and dynamic blend of urban sophistication and neighborhood charm. As home to the world-renowned Texas Medical Center, the city offers a rich professional environment for healthcare providers, with access to leading-edge research, innovation, and a broad network of medical professionals. Living and working in Houston means enjoying an impressive variety of things to do outside of work. The city offers exceptional dining with cuisines from around the globe, a thriving arts scene with museums and performing arts venues, and popular destinations such as the Museum District, Galleria area, and numerous urban green spaces and parks. Professional sports, festivals, live music, and year-round events give you plenty of ways to relax and recharge. Houston’s cost of living remains favorable compared to many other major metropolitan areas, making it easier to balance career growth with a comfortable lifestyle. In this outpatient role, you will be part of a dedicated rehabilitation team focused on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The clinic provides modern treatment spaces and equipment designed to support evidence-based physical therapy practice. Typical patients include individuals with orthopedic injuries, post-surgical conditions, sports-related issues, spine disorders, and work-related injuries. You will independently evaluate patients, establish functional goals, and develop individualized treatment plans that may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, modalities, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training. A typical day includes performing comprehensive evaluations, treating a steady but manageable caseload of patients, documenting in the EMR, and collaborating with colleagues and referring providers. Patient care is scheduled to support focused one-on-one time and continuity, allowing you to build strong therapeutic relationships and monitor progress over the course of care. Outpatient schedules generally follow daytime hours on weekdays, with potential for some flexibility depending on clinic needs and patient demand. Weekend coverage, if any, is limited and planned in advance. You will work alongside an experienced, supportive team that may include other physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and rehabilitation aides. This collaborative environment encourages clinical discussion, mentorship, and shared problem-solving for complex cases. The organization is known for providing structured pathways for professional development, including opportunities to expand clinical expertise in areas such as sports rehabilitation, industrial rehabilitation, and advanced orthopedic practice. Access to continuing education and exposure to a broad range of diagnoses help you grow both clinically and professionally. The clinic’s patient-centered philosophy emphasizes communication, education, and empowerment. You will play a key role in helping patients understand their diagnosis, participate actively in their rehabilitation, and safely return to their desired activities, whether that means work, sports, or everyday tasks. By practicing in Houston’s thriving healthcare landscape, you will have the chance to contribute meaningfully to the health of a diverse community while enjoying the many advantages of a large, energetic city with a strong sense of local pride.
