This 13-week outpatient Physical Therapist opportunity is based in Nutley, New Jersey, a welcoming suburban community in northern New Jersey known for its tree-lined neighborhoods, well-kept parks, and strong sense of community. You will work closely with an on-site Occupational Therapy team, fostering a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment where coordinated care and shared treatment planning are highly valued. The clinic’s updated equipment and contemporary layout support efficient workflows, patient comfort, and evidence-based practice. As an Outpatient Physical Therapist in this setting, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal, orthopedic, neurologic, and post-surgical conditions, among other diagnoses common in outpatient care. A typical day includes performing initial evaluations, setting functional and measurable goals, delivering one-on-one and, where applicable, small-group interventions, and documenting all care thoroughly in the EMR. You will focus on restoring function, reducing pain, improving mobility, and promoting long-term health and wellness through manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional training, and patient education. Patient ratios are designed to support safe, effective care and allow you to maintain strong patient relationships. Caseload volume and scheduling will be managed to prioritize quality outcomes and efficient use of your clinical skills. You will collaborate frequently with Occupational Therapists and other team members to coordinate treatment plans, share progress updates, and adjust care as needed. This interdisciplinary model helps ensure comprehensive care for patients with complex needs and provides excellent professional learning opportunities. The schedule is a full-time, 40-hour workweek based on a 5x8 day shift, offering a predictable routine that supports work-life balance. There is no on-call requirement, allowing you to focus on direct patient care during regular business hours. The 13-week assignment offers a defined timeframe while still giving you enough duration to see meaningful patient progress and integrate into the team. Since this is a temp direct style order, it can be ideal for clinicians interested in exploring a new setting or location with the potential to develop longer-term connections based on mutual fit.
