This 13-week Physical Therapist Assistant opportunity is based in Scottsbluff, a vibrant community in western Nebraska known for its striking natural landscapes and welcoming atmosphere. As a PTA in this role, you will work under the direction and supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide evidence-based care to a primarily outpatient caseload. Typical responsibilities include implementing individualized treatment plans, leading therapeutic exercise programs, assisting with manual therapy techniques as directed, and reinforcing patient education and home exercise instruction. The caseload may include orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, and general mobility and balance issues across a variety of age groups. A typical day may include: Collaborating with the supervising PT to review and progress treatment plans Treating a steady flow of scheduled outpatients in a modern clinic setting Documenting visits and patient progress in an electronic medical record system Educating patients on injury prevention, safe body mechanics, and home exercises Communicating regularly with the care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care The clinic environment emphasizes professional collaboration, clear communication, and patient-centered care.
