This outpatient physical therapy position is located in Tukwila, Washington, a vibrant community just south of Seattle. Tukwila offers the convenience of being minutes from downtown Seattle, Sea-Tac International Airport, and major transportation corridors, making commuting straightforward from many surrounding neighborhoods. The area features a mix of residential, commercial, and green spaces, with easy access to shopping at Southcenter, diverse restaurants, nearby trails, parks, and recreational activities throughout the greater Seattle region. Living and working in Tukwila allows you to enjoy the energy of an urban hub while staying close to outdoor adventures, waterfronts, and cultural attractions. The clinic provides a modern outpatient environment focused on musculoskeletal and orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries, and post-surgical care. You will work in a setting designed to support efficient patient flow, with well-equipped treatment rooms and open gym space for therapeutic exercise and functional training. The culture emphasizes collaboration, professional development, and evidence-based practice, with colleagues who share knowledge and support one another in managing a varied caseload. In this role, you will independently evaluate patients, formulate comprehensive treatment plans, and deliver interventions tailored to each individual’s goals. Typical responsibilities include performing detailed examinations, establishing functional goals, providing manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, progressing strengthening and mobility programs, and educating patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention. You will communicate regularly with referring physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure optimal outcomes. The typical day includes a mix of new evaluations and follow-up treatments, with a patient population that may include post-operative orthopedic patients, athletes returning to sport, individuals recovering from acute injuries, and those managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Patient volumes are structured to allow you to maintain quality, with scheduling designed around one-on-one care and appropriate support from therapy aides and administrative staff. You can expect a steady, engaging workflow that encourages developing specialized interests within your caseload. Shifts are generally during daytime and early evening hours on weekdays, with some flexibility depending on clinic needs and patient demand. The environment is traveler-friendly and welcoming to clinicians looking to build strong outpatient experience, enhance manual therapy and exercise prescription skills, and grow within a larger organizational network. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to impact patients’ ability to return to work, sport, and everyday activities, while enjoying the professional and lifestyle advantages of practicing in the Tukwila and greater Seattle area.
