This full-time outpatient Physical Therapist position is based in Burlingame, California, a highly desirable community on the San Francisco Peninsula. As a Physical Therapist in this setting, you will evaluate and treat a diverse caseload typical of an active Bay Area community. Common conditions include post-operative orthopedic cases, sports-related injuries, overuse syndromes, spinal disorders, and general musculoskeletal pain. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop individualized plans of care, deliver hands-on treatment, and guide patients through progressive exercise and functional programs. You can expect to collaborate closely with referring physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care. A typical day includes performing new patient evaluations, providing follow-up treatments, documenting in the electronic medical record, and participating in team huddles or case discussions. Patient volumes and scheduling are structured to support quality one-on-one care while meeting outpatient productivity expectations. Depending on clinic size, you may work alongside physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation aides to manage patient flow and support therapeutic activities. The clinic’s schedule is designed to accommodate patient needs while supporting work-life balance. Shifts commonly include daytime hours with the potential for some early evening appointments to serve working professionals, and a standard full-time workweek generally totals around 40 hours. Weekend work, if required, is typically limited and scheduled in advance. Specific hours and schedule patterns can be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview process.
