Job Description & Requirements
Nuclear Medicine Technologist - (Nuclear Med Tech)
StartDate: 12/7/2026 Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2985.00 - $3075.00

Join a dedicated outpatient imaging team as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist specializing in SPECT and Lexiscan stress testing in Bryan, Texas. This role is ideal for a technologist who enjoys focused, high-quality patient care in a calm, professional outpatient setting with predictable daytime hours and no overnight shifts. Bryan offers a unique blend of small-town charm and big-city access. Paired with neighboring College Station, home to Texas A&M University, the area provides a vibrant, energetic community with something for everyone. You can enjoy a thriving restaurant scene, local breweries, cultural events, and live music throughout the year. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate nearby parks, lakes, and trails, as well as family-friendly attractions and community festivals that make the area welcoming for all stages of life. Bryan’s central location in Texas provides convenient access to Houston and Austin while maintaining a comfortable cost of living and a relaxed pace of life. In this outpatient setting, you will focus primarily on SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging and Lexiscan nuclear stress tests in a structured, patient-centered environment. You will work with a close-knit team of technologists, nurses, and providers who value collaboration, clear communication, and consistent, evidence-based care. The facility features modern imaging equipment and a streamlined workflow designed to promote efficiency and accuracy, allowing you to concentrate on delivering excellent diagnostic studies. A typical day includes reviewing the schedule and protocols, preparing radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring all equipment is functioning and quality control checks are completed. You will prepare and educate patients for SPECT and Lexiscan procedures, obtain relevant clinical histories, and position patients for optimal image acquisition. During Lexiscan studies, you will assist with stress administration, closely monitor patients, and support nursing and provider teams in maintaining patient comfort and safety. Workload and pacing are tailored to the outpatient setting, with a manageable daily caseload that allows ample time for accurate imaging, documentation, and patient interaction. You will perform imaging, process and transfer images to the appropriate systems, and document procedures and radiation doses according to departmental protocols and regulatory standards. Patient ratios are designed to balance efficiency with individualized care, ensuring that each study receives the attention needed for high diagnostic quality. This position offers the opportunity to deepen your expertise in cardiac nuclear medicine while maintaining a predictable schedule conducive to work-life balance. You will be part of a supportive team that values professional growth, ongoing education, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality in nuclear imaging. For technologists seeking a role where advanced SPECT and Lexiscan experience is both utilized and appreciated, this outpatient position in Bryan, Texas, provides a rewarding and professionally satisfying career path.
