Occupational Therapist - School - (OT - School)

AMN Healthcare is partnering with a school district in Aberdeen, Washington, to hire a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) for the upcoming school year. In this role, you will support students across a variety of age groups, helping them develop the skills needed to succeed academically, socially, and independently within the educational setting. The Occupational Therapist will assess and address challenges related to fine and gross motor development, sensory processing, self-care, visual-perceptual skills, functional participation, and school-based activities. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes. Responsibilities Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support student achievement and participation in the educational environment. Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations to determine eligibility and develop appropriate intervention plans. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based therapy programs aligned with student educational goals. Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services as outlined in IEPs. Monitor student progress, collect and analyze data, and communicate findings to educational teams and families. Maintain timely and accurate documentation, progress reports, and billing records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. Provide recommendations, training, and resources to teachers and staff to promote student success in the classroom. Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and other school-based collaborative initiatives. Maintain effective communication with families, school personnel, and community partners regarding student progress and support strategies.
