Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Respiratory Therapist at the facility in Loma Linda, California, is responsible for administering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients experiencing cardiopulmonary dysfunction. This role involves providing care in general, critical, and specialty care settings, utilizing advanced assessment and respiratory care skills across various age groups. The Respiratory Therapist records treatment and diagnostic information accurately, performs related duties as needed, and collaborates effectively within the healthcare team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: An associate's degree from an accredited respiratory therapy program, California Respiratory Care Practitioner License, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications through an American Heart Association (AHA) provider training program. Must have a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.

• Float: Float: Float rotation may be required to adult hospitals including East Campus and Surgical Hospital.
• Additional Information: The Respiratory Therapist must be able to troubleshoot patient and machine equipment, draw blood, assess patients, perform preventative maintenance, calibrate equipment, and communicate effectively in English. Candidates should demonstrate critical thinking, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The role requires physical functionality including color discrimination, hearing, visual acuity, and tactile sensitivity necessary for patient care and equipment operation.
