Job Summary:
The organization is seeking qualified Inpatient Physical Therapists for a travel assignment at a rehab unit located in Gainesville, Florida. The position involves providing patient evaluations, therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and education within a fast-paced hospital environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. The facility is opening a new hospital and unit starting on May 5th, and staff will participate in weekend rotations.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS certification; experience in skilled nursing facility settings; ability to work in Gainesville, Florida; no minimum years of experience required.
- Schedule: Day shift only, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with 36 hours minimum per week.
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification, SNF experience, and ability to work in Gainesville, Florida.
- Preferred Qualifications: Adaptability to fast-paced environment, independent functioning, previous travel experience preferred.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: This role entails working on a rehab unit with 22 staff members, patient ratios of 7:1, and use of typical inpatient rehabilitation gym equipment including balance and gait systems. The position involves Saturday and Sunday weekend rotations, with staff providing services such as patient evaluations, activities of daily living assistance, and patient/family education.
