Occupational Therapist (OT IP) Inpatient Occupational Therapist Lodi, California
The Occupational Therapist Inpatient plans and conducts segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social, and mental functions while meeting department objectives. The role serves as a co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) (required; only if obtained license on or after January 2007, or foreign equivalent); Occupational Therapy licensure in the state of practice (required); Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) (required; from an approved vendor per facility policy); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required); Occupational therapy experience: two years (preferred).
- Preferred Qualifications: Neuro/Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience; experience in acute inpatient hospital settings and inpatient acute rehabilitation.
- Additional Information: Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and addresses assessment areas that require attention; uses appropriate clinical techniques and tools to establish individualized treatment plans; provides therapy interventions using appropriate treatment protocols and techniques; establishes individualized care and discharge plans and ensures plans are communicated to appropriate parties; completes comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines; supervises assigned assistants; performs other job-related duties as assigned; float between inpatient and acute rehabilitation on a daily basis; availability for weekends (potentially all weekend shifts).
