Description

Job Summary:

Respiratory Therapist (RRT) position located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role involves providing specialized respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients in a hospital setting, including critical care and emergency department procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position primarily involves day shifts, working approximately 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Respiratory (RRT), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT); graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with at least 20 quarter hours of science; Oklahoma license; minimum one year of charge experience in respiratory care
  • Preferred Qualifications: None specified
  • Float: Unless specifically stated otherwise, travelers will be expected to float to like units within their scope, as needed based on facility needs. Travelers will receive brief orientation on the unit.
  • Additional Information: The position involves extensive critical care procedures including intubation, extubation, airway management, mechanical ventilation weaning, arterial blood gases interpretation, bronchoscopy, and pulmonary hygiene. Experience with electronic medical record systems such as Epic is required. The facility is a high-capacity hospital with specialized units including Burn ICU and Cardiac ICU, and uses advanced ventilator equipment like Nitric Oxide (INo) and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC). All required vaccinations for COVID-19 and Flu are mandated.
