Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in inpatient rehabilitation located in Houston, Texas. This position involves providing occupational therapy evaluations and daily treatments within an inpatient rehabilitation unit. Candidates are required to bring their active and unrestricted Occupational Therapy License for the state of Texas on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapy License in the state of Texas; inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred; 0 years of experience required.
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The unit is an inpatient rehab facility with approximately 20 beds and a staff of 54 full-time, part-time, and PRN members, including RNs, technicians, therapists, and management. The environment utilizes Meditech electronic medical records and is equipped with Hoyer lifts, hospital beds, oxygen tanks, and other rehab equipment. Flexibility to work in acute care or outpatient settings may be required. The role requires good time management and interpersonal skills.
