Job Summary:
CT Technologist (CT), Devils Lake, North Dakota. The CT Technologist ensures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam, collects relevant patient information, and supports safe, effective imaging within scope of responsibility. The role reviews CT images for quality and completeness, verifies exams are properly processed through PACS for interpretation, and assists the radiologist/physician with patient exams as needed. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM6:00 PM; 8 shift hours per day; minimum 40.0 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Radiographer (North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners) prior to start date; Radiographer/Computed Tomography (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)); Basic Life Support (BLS) (American Heart Association (AHA)) prior to start
• Preferred Qualifications: None listed
• Additional Information:
  • Assures appropriate patient education is provided within scope of responsibility
  • Assists the radiologist/physician with patient exams and notifies them of changes that may alter exam protocol or performance
  • Reviews images for quality and completeness
  • Verifies images are on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), ensures appropriate paperwork is scanned, and distributes the completed exam for interpretation
  • Demonstrates regard for patient safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization, and positioning
  • Prepares pharmaceutical vials for injection, calculates and measures dosage accurately, and administers diagnostic or therapeutic dosage orally or by intravenous injection (IV), completing all required records
  • Maintains accurate and complete records of all material received, dispensed, decayed, and disposed of
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet departmental/organizational needs
