Description
Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient position available in Berkeley, California. The successful candidate will provide specialized hand therapy services, including splint fabrication, assessment, and rehabilitation for patients with orthopedic upper extremity diagnoses. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Berkeley, California
- Schedule: Days, 8 hours shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: California License, Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred but not required, minimum of five (5) years of experience in an outpatient hand therapy setting, and two (2) years of charge experience. Epic charting system experience preferred.
- Special Procedures/Units: Orthopedics including post-operative care, acute injuries, and chronic conditions. Skills needed include arthritis management, assessment, discharge planning, dynamic and static splint fabrication, electrical stimulation, evaluation, hand injury treatment, home exercise programs, iontophoresis, kinesiotaping, lymphedema management, myofascial release, nerve injury treatment, orthoplast, patient/family education, plan of care, reassessments, reattachment, safety and injury prevention, serial/inhibitory techniques, soft tissue injury management, splinting, tendon repair, ultrasound, upper extremity care, and TENS.
- Certifications: Valid state license, Basic Life Support (BLS), and in-hand certifications meeting American Heart Association (AHA) standards at the time of submittal.
- Additional Information: COVID-19 and flu vaccines are required. Candidates must have a 7-year work history verified and disclose any background hits or DUIs prior to submission.
